Finding Your Tribe …

I was totally needing ‘a reset’ after 6 months of my young boys being off school and the demands that that had placed on me personally, and of my business. My original goals I had created at the start of the year for Ju Ju Creations where somewhat, but not totally, derailed!

It just so happened that at the same time I was feeling the need to reset and set out some new goals Joanne Dewberry’s new Book “Finding Your tribe, Networking A successful Small Business” was being launched ….. perfect.

Some may think that ready a book about networking, when the world is keeping a physical socially safe distance from each other a bit strange, but for me it felt even more important and more relevant.

For me networking, has never been about selling Ju Ju Creations, for me its about meeting like minded people who want to learn, coach and support each other to achieve and be the best they can be, no matter what area they work in, or level of expertise.

Well this book helped me to realise that I’m not the only one that feels this way, and therefore in turn gave me a much needed confidence boost to get back out there and connect. How did the book help me to do that, you may ask ?

Joanne comes across with her writing in a way that is totally relatable to me, A mum running her business from home, often in isolation but not always by intention. Along side juggling the demands of a full and very active house hold. I often feel like I am wearing many hats :- Mum, teacher, cook, creator, blogger, V-blogger, cleaner, wife , daughter, marketing manager, sales manager, accountant, to name just a few !

The book guides you by the hand from what Networking can be about, why we need to network not just for our business to survive, but also for our own well being, happiness and metal health. Joanne guides you to find the right groups, getting yourself prepared to ‘just be yourself’ and building relationships.

So…… If like me you need to ‘reset’ the year, grab this book , enjoy and get back out there … at a socially safe distance of course!

  1. What a lovely review, I’ve known Joanne for about 6 years and she’s a mine of useful business information and a huge small business champion. I am yet to read her book, but I’m looking forward to finding the time to do so.

I’m glad it was helpful for you. I know her first book helped me no end when I set up my business. X
